Course Summary:

This one-day course explores safeguarding and child protection for all Governors. It will provide the Governing with the knowledge required to fulfil their duties around safeguarding. This one-day course will:

Explore how Governors can assure themselves that school/college policies and procedures are effective
Examine how Governors can ensure there is a whole school approach to safeguarding in place
Discuss their role and responsibilities as Governors
Consider the role of the Safeguarding Governor
Look at local multi-agency safeguarding arrangements
Provide up to date information around Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

All our safeguarding courses are underpinned by the most up to date statutory requirements for schools and colleges in Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

This course is not part of the Governor training subscriptions and therefore full fee applies.
