Learning outcomes

After this session you will be able to:

Understand what is meant by safeguarding and the categories of child abuse
Recognise the role of the school and the governing body in safeguarding
Understand the role of the nominated governor and chair of governors
Access guidance and up to date information about safeguarding.

If you become the nominated governor with responsibility for safeguarding you should also attend the Safeguarding Children course.

This session is included in the Governor Training Subscription. If you have an active subscription there is no charge for attendance.
