Course summary:

This one-hour webinar will look at Ofsted’s approach to inspecting Alternative Provisions. It is suitable for leaders from schools and any type of Alternative Provision to attend.

Following the release of the Government's SEND and Alternative Provision Plan there is a greater emphasis on the use of Alternative Provisions and ensuring they are providing an appropriate curriculum which supports the specific needs of the vulnerable students that attend. This course will:

look at how Ofsted will inspect an Alternative Provision and prepare both the school and the provision.
focus on how the school and Alternative Provision work together
consider how Ofsted inspect an Alternative Provision's curriculum and their core objectives
discuss how to ensure a culture for safeguarding
explore how both establishments address the on-going needs of their students
examine how Ofsted will triangulate its data to reach an outcome.
