Course summary:

Drawing on evidence from the Education Endowment Fund (EEF) Toolkit this course explores a range of strategies for raising achievement across the primary curriculum with a particular focus on disadvantaged pupils.

During the session we will explore a range of strategies for raising achievement, particularly for disadvantaged pupils. This will include, but is not limited to, a focus on the following areas:

• Language, communication and vocabulary

• Metacognition

• Memory for Learning

• Effective feedback

• Parental engagement

Throughout the course a number of practical ideas and activities will be shared.

Reference will be made to the work of the EEF and some of the research and resources published by the organisation.
