This course is for the nominated Safeguarding Governor and runs across two sessions. Please make sure you can attend both sessions before making a booking.

Objectives

to understand what is meant by safeguarding and the categories of child abuse
recognise the roles and responsibilities of the school and the governing board in relation to safeguarding
understand the role of the Safeguarding Governor and the Chair of Governors
to be aware of Ofsted expectation when inspecting safeguarding
access guidance that underpins safeguarding in schools

This session is included in the Governor Training Subscription. If you have an active subscription there is no charge for attendance.
